What exactly is a Facebook?

Long before facebook was a popular social networking site, facebooks were documents that Ivy League colleges (usually) sent out to incoming students in order to aquaint themselves with their fellow classmates.

It's a good idea. And that's the reason UIC has created "Class of" facebooks on facebook.com since the class of 2011. We maintain an official class, to keep spammers and marketers from using the site to sell their wares. Our promise is to stay mostly out of the conversation, and occasionally post important links or deadlines.

For the most part - this is your place to meet and ask each other questions before you meet in person this August.
